About us
La Rocca was established in 1950 by Grandfather Attilio as a small family business, producing typical Lake Garda wines typical, such as Bardolino and Chiaretto.
A few years later, Attilio opened a bar on the Bardolino wine trail itself. As well as serving wine from his own winery, he also sold authentic local produce such as bread, salami and eggs.
After that, Attilio’s son, Luigi launched the farm holiday business in partnership with his wife Mari, complementing the wine-producing concern. This led to the existing buildings being extended and refurbished to finally create the farm holiday business as it is today.
La Rocca is still managed by the Ottolini family. Luigi looks after the farm itself, including the vines and winery, with the same enthusiasm as Grandfather Attilio. Whereas Mari’s favourite place is in the kitchen. She prepares breakfast every morning, baking pastries and biscuits from her own recipes.
Their sons, Marco and Stefano, take care of the accommodation by managing the store, the reception and the rooms.
